Driving Licence Test
for Canada

Before obtaining your Alberta learner driver’s license, also known as the Class 7 Licence, you’ll be required to undergo a knowledge examination assessing your familiarity with Alberta’s traffic regulations. This official multiple-choice test comprises 30 questions and can be conveniently taken at any registry agent’s office without a prior appointment, with a fee of $17. The test is administered on a computer, and you’ll have a maximum of 60 minutes to complete it successfully. To pass, you must answer a minimum of 25 questions correctly. In the event of a failure, a 24-hour waiting period is mandatory before you can retake the test. Once you’ve triumphed in both the knowledge and vision assessments, an additional fee is required to acquire your physical Class 7 learner’s license card.

These driving practice tests have been meticulously updated to reflect the latest information as of September 2023, offering you the opportunity to prepare for the real examination from the comfort of your own home. Once you’ve aced the knowledge test, you’ll be well-prepared for the final step in obtaining your Alberta learner’s license: the Alberta road test.
